Danny Boyle used a silicon 2k imaging prototype camera in some of the filming in slumdog millionaire, its resolution is digital 2k the same quality as film. the camera uses four different external hard drives that are mounted onto the camera mans back, but the camera itself is a big as a handheld and can be set down and it will just record hours of film that you don't have to process, if it looks bad you can just scrub all the film of the hard drives easily.
